Looking for info on Benjamin Cave (b 1703) who was married to Hannah Bledsoe. Family decendant names: Cave, Robert Johnson, Newton Payne, George Blanchard, Parker.

Benjamin Cave History:

Had a total of nine childeren.
1730 took oath as Lieutenenat to Captain John Scott in the virginia colonial Militia. He later became Captain.

1731-1740 Vestryman of St. Mark's Parish, Culpeper, Co., Va. Then became members of St. thomas Parish, Orange Co., Va

1752-1755, 1756-1758, 1758-1761 represented Orange Co. VA in the House of burgesses and frequently elected to the General Assembly of VA.

He lived in Rhodes, Orange Co., VA and then on the Upper Rapidan River near Cave's Ford (his name-sake)

1728, owned tract of land lying on Beaver Dam Run of Hedgmans River in Orange Co. in partnership with Abraham bledsoe. Sold the land in 1728 to Charles Carter Esq. of Carter's Grove VA.

One of the first Vestrymen of St. Mark's Parish (from Slaughter, Histor of St. Mark's Parish pp. 54-5)

One of the first Justices composing the county court of Orange.
