I am a descendant of Martie Caves who married Beulah Simmons of Greenbush Illinois in 1915. He was son of Merritt Caves, who may have died in the Mark Twain Forest, in a fire, in his younger years. Not sure if Martie's name is correct, gave his birthdate as April 18, 1890, but stated other birthdates to various people in life. He had a broter Bert who lived in Savannah Illinois and was a river boat gambler, who had daughters who got into motion pictures in California. Is said to be descendant of a De Cave of France and William the Conqueor.
