I have just begun to research the Jeremiah J Cavanaugh family of Massachusetts. Jeremiah was born in New Brunswick on 9 Apr 1878. He came to the United States around 1895 and I believe that he may have gone to the gold fields in California before going to Massachusetts. He worked for his brother, James (born 28 Aug 1872), as a teamster. Perhaps we will find a link between these families.
