I am also a Corcoran with Cavanaugh descendants. My grandfather was Thomas Edward Cavanaugh from S. Hadley, MA. He was one of 9 children (John, Michal, Johanah, Maurice, Mary H., Michael, Timothy and Jeremiah. Jeremiah had two children (David and Catherine). Thomas had two children (Eleanor and Thomas E.) I am the daughter of Eleanor, who married George B. Corcoran, Jr. from W. Springfield, MA. The parents of these Cavanaughs were Bridget Rohan, b. County Kerry, d. March 31, 1884, MA and Michael Cavanaugh, b. County Kerry, d. Aug 27, 1898, MA. Bridget Rohan had three siblings (Thomas, Ellen and Patrick). Michael had five siblings (Mary, b. 1844, Ire.; Patrick, b. 1842, Ire; Hannah, b. 1846, Ire; Morris, b. 1855, MA and Ellen, b. 1854, MA) Their parents were Dennis Cavanaugh and Mary Fitzgerald who are believed to have come to S. Hadley, MA from County Kerry between 1850 and 1855. They both died in S. Hadley, MA.
