Peter was born about 1757 in--I think--Middletown, Orange County, NY. He married Martha Thompson in Goshen, Orange County, NY.
He was listed in the 1790 census in Minisink as Peter Cavana. At that time, he had 7 children--4 boys and 3 girls.
In 1800, Martha Cavanaugh and 4 children (2 boys and 2 girls) were listed in Minisink, so I assume Peter died between 1790-1800. The 1820 census also includes a Luke S. Cavanaugh in Minisink--I assume this is one of the children of Peter and Martha.
Can anyone help me find more info on this family? The last name might be Kavanaugh instead of Cavanaugh.
