Daniel Cavanaugh and Margaret Dunleroy

I am unable to trace the origin of my ggrandmother, Mary A. Cavanaugh. However I did find a family living in Texas Twp., Wayne County, PA. on the 1850 Federal Census that could be hr parents, Margaret nee Dunleroy and Daniel Cavanaugh. My ggrandmother, Mary A. is noted to have been born in Canada ca. 1846, her sister, Ellen was born there two years later. The family returned to PA. by the late 1840's and most of their children were born there.
The surname for the family on the 1850 census is spelled "Caval" which could be a mistake as the ages of the children match closely with my family. I would appreciate any help in finding how I can verify the birth of my ggrandmother in Canada. Thank you.
Mary P
