My ancestor was Charles Cavanah whose will was probated in Edgecomb County, North Carolina in 1757. I have never been able to tie this Charles with his parents. Charles had a son named Charles and I received information from another cousin that this Charles (the son) married Ann Coleman. I noticed in your post that you had Charles, the son of Philemon,marrying Ann Coleman.

Given this confusion, I was wondering if you could share your source for this marriage relationship. I would also be interested in any information about Charles, the son of Philemon. I have not ruled him out as the Charles who died in Edgecomb County, North Carolina in 1757.
