My name is George Bailey Cavanah, Jr. My father was George Bailey Cavanah, Sr and was born in either Hopkinsville or Seebre KY on January 29, 1913. His mother, my granmother, was Catherine Bailey and his father's name was George Washington Cavanah. My father had one brother, Harold Donovan Cavanah.
They lived in Hopkinsville, Seebree and Louisville. My grandfather, George Washington Cavanah, was a tobacco farmer and then worked for RJ Reyonlds or other tobacco company.
Have seen many Cavanah's in Kentucky and since the spelling is so unique, thought there must be some relation somewhere. My father told me we had no relatives in Kentucky, but since his death in 1999 I have received many mailings on Genealogy with several Cavanah's listed in Kentucky.
