Wendy,
I believe it is likely that you are descended from the Charles Cavena whose will was probated in Edgecomb County, North Carolina in 1756. Several of his sons including his son Charles Cavenah migrated to Burke County, Georgia in the later 1700's.
This Charles also had a son named Charles who migrated to Christian County, Kentucky about 1801.
I am descended from the original Charles Cavena's son Aquilla.
