Hi Sharon.Thank you for responding to my post.Oddly enough, I also have a McDonald in my family tree.My great great grandfather was Jacques "John" BOUDREAU and he married an Eleanor McDONALD.They had 5 children. One son, James W BOUDREAU, my great grandfather, and 4 daughters, Martha, Leone, Lydia and one who's name I don't know.James was born Nov 27, 1870 in Pulamond, Nova Scotia. He married Severine BAILLARGEON (Sept 28, 1870) in 1893.My grandfather, Albert BOUDREAU was the 5th of 7 children. He married my grandmother, Beatrice Irene CAVANAUGH Oct 26, 1935.I was told that when they made up the wedding lists, both of my grandparents had some of the same people listed to send out invitations to.They said that they were cousins but weren't specific on how distant they were. The CAVANAUGH's, BAILLARGEON's and BOUDREAU's were all from Canada, the BOUDREAU's previously from France, and settled in mostly Mass. I'm not sure where my gggf married Eleanor McDONALD but I'm thinking it was in Canada as their children were all born there.I'm up against a brick wall on the BOUDREAU side and doing even worse on the CAVANAUGH side so I have no idea how far back they were once related.
As far as the CORCORAN's, it is also my married name. My husband's father was from Ohio (born in Ill). His name was Robert Francis.
Please feel free to email me directly as we may find more connections here!
