Todays is the 1st day I've really found 'Cavanaughs' Don't think we're a popular name to search. My maternal grandparents are from Tioga Co Pa, but my Cavanaugh line (paternal line) is from Christian Co Ky.
Saw the reference to Wellsboro. I have see a Cavanaugh in the cemetery books from the county. Tioga Co connections: Griffin/King/Eldridge/Walter/Bancroft/Taft/Rice/McEwen/English/Howland/Eddy...
So as not to confuse my surname with the Tioga Co Cavanaughs.
