I thought that I would add that I can see where some get the "Pollard" as the the wife of Charles Cavenah after reading Mary Cavenah's will of 1793 which would seem to indicate that Thomas Pollard was her uncle since Thomas was the father of her cousin. That could mean one of two things: 1. Thomas Pollard was the brother of Mary Cavenah's mother indicating that Mrs. Charles Cavenah was nee Pollard. 2. Thomas Pollard was the husband of one of Mary Cavenah's aunts thus the brother-in-law of one of her parents. That aunt could have been the sister of Charles Cavenah or the sister of Mrs. Charles Cavenah. Sound reasonable? That, of course, assumes that Mary Cavenah's use of the word "cousins" meant first cousin and not second or third, etc. Or, what if she meant nephew and neice, which seems plausible since her father's will names her sister as Memorial Pollard. You could 'round and 'round with that, I suppose! Scott Notify Administrator about this message?
