I,m searching for information on John & Jane Cavanagh,my great-grandparents.I believe they were from Co.Louth,(location is Lagavooren,Beymore Rd.)St.Mary,s parish.I know they had at least two sons,Thomas and Matthew Patrick.
Jane Cavanagh,s maiden name was Darby. Thomas was my uncle and Matthew was my grandfather.Matthew came to the USA in 1895 at age 15.Thomas we dont know when he came to the USA but he was 10 years older then Matthew.They both lived on Staten Island and were iron workers and machineist,s.
Matthew married a New york girl named Jane Burns around 1907 and they had 6 children,Arthur,Matthew Jr.Helen.John (my father) Lawrence,and Margaret. Any information is greatly appreciated by my family. Stephen Matthew Cavanagh
