Many were in (Davis)Cass Cty. TX by 1870 & some listed with families in 1880 as well. I would like to obtain any information from any descendants of these. Seeking name of the father.

The older children named here disappeared along with Newton T. after the death of their young mother. The youngest, Katie Ida was raised by a Gordon TX couple by the name of Nolan and Emma DeFord.
Mr. Cothern surely remarried, and had other children somewhere in TX. Any leads appreciated.
