Trudy, I have the Appendix to the Cauthen Family History
by Maryline Cauthen Westinhaver.
She says she visted Darfield Parish Church in 1963 and examined the original Register of the church. It is made of parchment skin, stil supple but the ink has worn off the earlier pages so that not untill entries made about 1628 could be read.
The publisded register of the Parish of Barnsley shows that Richard, son of John Cawthorne, was baptized in 1581
and a Richard Cawthorne and Janet Woods were married there Feb. 6, 1610.
Have some other data I would like to go over or tell you about.May get to that tomorrow.
