Here is what we found. After my great grandfather Ralph it goes like this I think. His dad was Samuel Alexander "Alec" Cauthen...aka Grandpa Alec, then his dad was Waxhaw Thomas Cauthen, now I find out his dad was William R. Cauthen then Thomas Cauthen Revolutionary Patriot. Does that agree with the facts that you have?? It was all confusing until we found the Cauthen Book. I hate that your friend had the day off when we went down. I plan on going back soon....I do appreciate the help that you have given me on this search!!
