Lori,
I am Bob Finley,Sr son of Bessie Jane Cauthen Finley, daughter of George & Sally Cauthen of Lancaster, S.C.
I couldn, find him in the 175 pages of the Cauthen Family History that I have. He may be listed in The complete Cauthen Faily History that Gary Harris has in The Lancaster County Library.
His name shows up on Ancestry Library Edition but I just can get his name an location.Have to go to the library and use their computers to get all information about him.
Then I went to Rootsweb and found the following;
Ralpd Emerson Cauthen born 1 Aug. 1897 in Lancaster, S.C.
Died in 1970 in Cabbarus County, N.C.
Married Lula Mae Baggart born 3 Feb. 1896 in Lancaster S.C.
they were married 25 Dec. 1917.
Their Children;
Gwendolyn MarrCauthen born 11 Oct. 1918 in S.C.
Gladys Norwood Cauthen born 15 Nov. 1921 in S.C.
Ray Emerson Cauthen borb 10 Apr. 1924 in S.C. ?
Buford Alexander born 5 Oct. 1926 in N.C.
Billie Sue Cauthen born 12July 1933 in Mecklenburg Co. N.C.
Next time I am at the library I will check Ancestry Library Edition for Ralph.
Which of his sons did you come from?
Incidently I am from the Leslie and Rock Hill, S.C. area
and knew of a Furr Family.
