Phillip Newton Causey's first wife was Mary Catherine Taylor. I had looked for her name for many years without results until I found the Texas death certificates of two of her sons. One certificate lists her as Mary Catherine Taylor born in Lawrence, South Carolina. The other certificate lists her as Kate Tayolor born in Mississippi. I don't beleive the second certificate's place of birth since it also lists Phillip as being born in Mississippi which I know to be false. I have been unable to find a Lawrence, SC.
