There do appear to be reasons to assume a relationship between your William (1744-1828) and an Absalom. BUT, if these "two" Absaloms were one and the same, he would more than likely be a brother or cousin, rather than a son, of your William and William would probably connect to the NC Causeys. I hope we can some day determine whether there was one or two Absaloms in Beaufort Co in the late 18th century.
