This is likely to be a long shot, but the letter from Andrew Causey about going to Mississippi is interesting. William Causey, 1744-1828, is the patriarch of the Causey family in Mississippi and Louisiana. See this Causey history at:

I would be interested in knowing if Andrew thought he had connections to Mississippi Causeys, perhaps even to William Causey.
