Hi, Ed,

I know we've spoken before about my maternal 5th great grandfather, Abram BUCKLES, aka Abraham BUCKHOLTS, Jr., who was first married to my 5th great grandmother,
Mahal(i)a MIDDLETON before his marriage to Nancy KILLIAN.

We might have discussed Mrs. Elizabeth ?/CAWSEY? CAWSEY HOWELL EARLE CLEMENT, widow of my 8th great grandfather, (Sir) John EARLE a few years back. I've still found nothing for her as of CAUSEY/CAWSEY birth and think her most likely to have been married to a CAUSEY/CAWSEY man prior to her marriage to ? HOWELL and then John EARLE and then William CLEMENT.

(Sir) John EARLE immigrated in 1642 from Somersetshire, England into St. Mary's County, Maryland and then along with my other 8th great grandfather, Thomas HALE, settled Yeocomico Plantation in Northumberland County, Virginia.

Are there any marriages of CAUSEY/CAWSEY men in that area to an Elizabeth in that time period?

John EARLE's 1st wife & my 8th great grandmother was Mary SYM(M)ON(D)S whose brother is believed to have been Francis SYM(M)ON(D)S who immigrated with John EARLE.

Thanks.

Bellinda
