Thought you might be interested in an addition/change to your line. . . Garland D was first married to Rachel Kight (possibly Knight) before he married Thena Levens. The 1850 Heard County census shows Garland (age 33), Rachel (age 25) Frances age 5, Sarah age 3 and John R age 6 mo. By 1860 Garland had married Thena Levens. The children listed were Frances (age 15) Sarah (12) John R (10) Rachel (7) and Mary A (4).
Garland donated the land for Salem Church in Heard Co; he and Thena are buried there. I think Rachel is buried there as well, and my notes indicate she died in 1855.
If this information is correct you are not descended from Thena Levens. Which is a shame (for me), since I'm trying to get some info on the Levens family, as well as on Garland D.
