Otha,
As my dad use to say there is more George Colley's under the ground then above the ground. Believe the one you want is our William Colley's brother. Information that I have is this George Colley was born 1775 (not 1773) in Old Dobbs Co. N.C. I have been told that he had a son named David Cauley by his 1st wife (name unknown). He lived in Laurens Co. G.A. with a wife named Mary Beaty (They may have had a son named George - not sure). He died in Montgomery Co. G.A. 7/6/1813. (The information above is subject to error)
Cousin George
