Jame Cauley1790Maryland Census/ship cpt?

In the 1790 Maryland Census index, I found a "Jame Cauley" listed as head of family who has 1 free white male over 16, 3 w. m. under sixteen, and 2 femailes living with him. I still have to see if I can find the actual census record. Does anyone know anything about this Cauley?

Also, from the book "The King's Passengers to Maryland and Virginia" I found a reference that reads:

"Potter, Henry, Irish, 30. From James Cawley, ship captain, BA Co Md. (PAG 9 Aug 1750)." Does anyone know what this means exactly or anything about this James Cawley? I don't know which ship it is talking about. I am new at this?
