Well your grandfather certainly had an adventurous life.What remarkable achievements he acomplished,everyone must have been so proud of him.Can you imagine acomplishing all of that in that place and time when so many people couldn't even read and write;It just boggles the mind.You're right about getting together or talking.I thought we could begin by emailing direct to each other instead of using the forum for the whole world read.just click on my name on any message and my email will come up.
See if you can out find the year your great grandfather(thomas)was married. I'm hoping to find on a certificate of marriage of his generation where the parents were born, other than just Ireland.Thomas and John were both born in Canada to Roger Cauley and Catherine Hoban.Thomas was the first of his generation to be born here and John followed two years later.I have my great grandfather's marriage registration with his parent's name on it and place of birth as Ireland.
