Malinda is buried under a BENSON family marker alongside her son and daughter-in-law.It is presumed that the son Moses buried his mother first and then his spouse. They are all interred in the Marble Falls City Cemetery, Marble Falls, Burnet, Texas. This marker is located upon the very highest hilltop point in this cemetery.Burnet County records say M.A. BENSON while the City records say Madane BENSON.
BENSON Family Marker inscription reads as follows:
M.A.DANE______________Moses________________Lou C.
Nov. 23, 1849____________Feb. 17, 1862__________Jan. 12, 1861
Mar. 10, 1933_________________________________May 7, 1939
Be advised of the b/d differences toward the following Texas Death Certificates, for which the relationships of their informants are herein unknown:
Malinda DANE__________William Moses BENSON
Sep. 1, 1849____________Feb. 17, 1868
Mar. 11, 1933___________Dec. 19, 1950
f: Green CAUDAL________f: James M. BENSON
m: Clementine CAUDAL___m: Malinda CAUDLE
s: Leo DANE____________s: widowed
Also, there is a separate military marker immediately adjacent and west of this BENSON family. That inscription reads as:
Adorphy E BENSON
Texas
Pvt US ARMY
World War II
Jan 21 1912Feb 25 1973
I am not related to either of the above. There are two digital file photos of both memorials and will keep them for a short while. If one should desire a copy thereof, please respond by email and I will certainly try to oblige.
