Abel C. Caudell, born about 1819 in GA, father born in VA, mother born in NC; wife Ann ___? born about 1815 in NC -- her parents born in TN. Children include Amanda Jane, born 1840 in GA; Elizabeth, born about 1843 in GA; George W., born 1845 in GA; Abel, Jr., born about 1848 in AR; Joseph, born about 1851 in AR; and daughter, born about 1852 in AR.
Was listed as Abel Cordell in 1850 census for Poinsett County, AR; bought land in Johnson County, AR, in 1850; listed in 1860 census in Johnson County, AR; listed in 1880 census in Johnson County, AR; died 1885 at Johnson County, AR.
Amanda Jane Caudell Hunt is my grandmother. Abel C. Caudell is my great-grandfather.
