Linda, my name is Laura. I had a Grand mother named Mae Caudell who married into the Hale family. I don't know if they are all intertwined, but. Ten to fifteen years ago while she was still alive she talked about her family living in the South East at some point they were moved to central states where she then had to destroy her house to move her children up north in Michigan. she spoke of being of Cherokee decent, and Black Foot. I have a cousin on the Hale side that has written a book of the family and is starting on his second. I don't know how much it talks of her family, but if it does I will see if any match your information. My Grandmother was very old and frail when she passed away, but she spoke frequently of how much I looked like her mother and how the native traits still carried on. My Aunts swear by it. I don't know if we can help each other, but it sure would be great! Laura
