I have a bundle of papers concerning Maurice Lucien Cauchois, most of which are in French and I cannot translate. However these papers include driving licences in several US cities including New York and San Franscico. There is information indicating Maurice was working in Honolulu in 1940 and that he appears to have joined the Free French forces in early 1941. He was torpedoed by a German submarine whilst on the ss MASSDAM, saved and repatritated to Britain on the ss RANDA.

I have a note detailing father, mother, brothers.

The records are all centred on 1939 - 1941.

It is completely unknown why we have these papers, they were passed down from my wife's parents on their death.

I would be happy to discuss this information further
