"Hans Adam Kettenring (age 27) came to America on the Samuel Dec 3, 1740. Died at Londonderry Township , PA Dec 11, 1775.The descendents of his son Jacob (Known as the miller or Tory) used the spelling Kettering, then Catron."(Editors note, John Wesley took the Samuel back to London in 1742).
