The Benedictus Wenrich you mentioned eventually lived in the Lancaster Pa.area and then he and perhaps his brother you mention or his son with the same first name,Baltshear,left Pa.around 1715 to 1720 and resettled in the Palentine settlement near New Bern,N.C. in Craven county.For some reason,the name was then changed at least in this area to Vendrick.Part of my family is descended from Benedictus but I do not have the exact line as yet.If you have any knowledge of why they changed their surname or any info on the line as it developed in N.C. would appreciate the info.
