One of my relatives quotes a Henry Catron of Springfield, Illinois (I don't know anyting about him except that) who said that a George Washington Catron was born to Peter Catron and Elizabeth Houk on 11 Mar 1792 in (presumably) Wyeth County, Virginia. He would have been a brother of Associate Justice USSC John Catron. This family went on to Wayne County, Kentucky but a brother of Peter Catron whose name was Jacob Catron stayed in Wyeth County and then went to White County Tennessee. He had son Christopher and perhaps others. One of Christopher's sons was named John (b. 1796)and he was named after John Catron the justice (who in 1812 left Kentucky and moved to Tennessee he is buried in Nashville). It is not impossible that another such namesake could have tried. I do not have direct evidence of your George Washington Catron but there may have been many sons of Jacob I do not know about, I do not know if George Washinton son of Peter had children (or even if Henry Catron of Springfield was correct. Other relatives say the elder John was an only son) and there was another Catron brother, Francis, of Peter and Jacob in Virginia who no doubt had his own children who I as yet haven't found indformation concerning. Also, Peter Catron's father Christopher (Stophel) Catron had a brother and a cousin (Johan Jacob and Mathew but I am not sure which was which or whether they changed their name from Kettering to Catron as Stophel's children all did.) who followed him to Virginia from Germany. My sources were a private paper put out years ago in Virginia by a man named Macy I think (The old timers all insist the content is correct) and for Jacob Catron's people I referred to the book Thomas Benton Catron and his era by Victor Westphall (U of Ariz Press). I hope that is of some help. There is a source on the net I can perhaps refer you to if you e-mail me who knows more. Good luck and please let me know.
