Dear Catlin Forum
I've just realized that I made a mistake in the forum.
I repeat the extract taken from 'The Victorian History: The County of Northampton by Archibald Constable & Co. Ltd.London 1906.
The effigy of SIR JOHN SPENCER's SON, SIR JOHN SPENCER, DIED 1699 and of his wife,MARY, only daughter and heir of SIR ROBERT CATELIN, Lord Chief Justice of the King's Bench, lie upon a very stately wide and low altar-tomb, under a lofty canopy, embellished with many coats of arms and supported by square arabesque pillars and Corinthian columns. It goes on.....
Note: MARY was the wife of SIR JOHN SPENCER NOTROBERT. Sir Robert CATLIN was Mary's father.
It states at the end: Both effigies must be accurate portraits.
I'm unable to say whether these effigies are still extant.
I hope that this now clears up the record
