Dear James,

The Archives page says that baptismal records are kept in the parishes, not in the archives. However, Bishop Edward McCabe had to verify his baptism and confirmation in order to enter the seminary and be ordained a priest, so the dates and places of those sacraments should be in his personnel folder at the Archdiocese. His parents' names should be there, too, as well as the name of the parish where he was born. He was born in Dublin, but there was probably more than one parish in Dublin.
Sincerely,
Kate Hagel
