Dear Barbara,
I may have misunderstood your very first message on the nuns you were looking for. It said that Patrick had stayed in MA and had married Mary Ann O'Donnell in 1902 in Boston. That was what I was posting about on the one about Patrick as a widower in 1900 and the one with Mary and Nora in 1910. If they don't fit with your family, it's ok to just disregard them.

I got the data on those posts from Family Search and Ancestry. Family Search is at https://www.familysearch.org/ It's the site of the LDS church, and it's very extensive and free. It has summaries of all the censusess, I think. At least it has them from 1850 when they started listing each individual in the households by name.

Ancestry is at http://www.ancestry.com/ It is kind of expensive. They can give you a copy of the 1880 census summaries for free. They will display a copy of the 1910 census summary for free.

I won't post anything outside of California for Patrick, and I'll be sure his wife's name is Margaret.
Sincerely,
Kate Hagel
