The easiest way to get biographical information on a priest is through the archives of the diocese he served. Chicago Archdiocese Archives has a page for people doing genealogy. You need to get the deceased priest files. They will release biographical information on deceased priests. To get ordained, the candidate has to provide a lot of information-parents' data, schools, sacraments received, etc. as well as personal data. They can also give you the places that he served, when he died, where he is buried.
