This Nancy Cathey is listed without a husband with the following children. Annis, age 18, Catherine, age 17, John, age 14, Araminta, age 3 and Roena, age 4 months. Can anyone tell me who this Nancy is? Was she Nancy Turnage widow of John A. Cathey? If so, did John A. Cathey have a sister also named Araminta, who was married to William Thomas Clifton. Araminta Cathey Clifton was born about 1828 and she married William 24 Jan., 1847 in Shelby, TN John A. Cathey married Narcissa Turnage 19 Nov., 1835 also, in Shelby, TN. Araminta is a very unusual name. Araminta Cathey Clifton is my husband's gr. gr. grandmother and we are trying to find her parents names. Thank you for any help.
