There is a Corby page now which was probably not in existence when Catherine Morgan submitted her query. I do not know of any relationship with Eliza Dolph or Fr. William Corby. Our earliest known Gillard ancestor was the French soldier, Robert, who arrived in August 1798 in Ireland and our earliest known Corby ancestor was Thomas Corby, who was born about 1800 I believe and was living in Co. Mayo in the 1820s. Fr. William's family comes from a different county and I am not even sure if his family and ours have a common origin (our family was supposedly French). By the way, who was your grandfather? Did you hear back from Catherine Morgan? ... Tom
