Col. Arthur Erwin and the Cathells

Hello everybody. I see that there haven't been many recent posts, so I'm not sure who might see this post.
I am looking for information regarding the Revolutionary War colonel, Col. Arthur Erwin, and his connection to the Cathells. I have been reading an article about Arthur and his connection to a novel by James Fennimore Cooper. This made me wonder about his connection to the Cathells (and I believe there is one).
Does anyone know of the lineage from Arthur to the present day? My father Stuart's middle name is Erwin and I have been told it's a family name. My uncle Ralph's (his brother) middle name was Haste if that helps, and that was a family name too. Their father's name was Kenneth.
My mother told me that my great-grandfather Cathell (also Ralph) complied and published a genealogy book that was very detailed regarding the family heritage. I have seen several references to this book, but I do not know its contents (but I think the photocopies I'm reading came from this book?). I'm not sure if my father has a copy.
I have checked the web but have not found anything relevant. If anyone can give me some info or any links I'd appreciate it! Thanks!
