Hello Patrick,
I wonder if you could possibly tell me anything about Samuel Cathcart (1815) and Jane O'Shields children: GILES CATHCART b1843, JAMES CATHCART b,1846, EMILY CATHCART b. 1848 and LEWIS CATHCART b. 1849? I can't find a thing about them. Now Emily might never be found, since she being a girl, probably married and changed her name. And SAMUEL CATHCART b.1856. I think I found him listed with David in the Laurens Census. Surely somebody over in South Carolina knows what happened to them. I live in Texas and it takes a lot of research for me to gather my information, but I bet I have as good a Cathcart record as anyone.
