Looking for Robert B. Cates brother to David Thomas Cates. Mother Melissa Morris Cates, Father is Thomas Cates married in Murray Co. GA 1852. Thomas not in family by 1860. Melissa remarried 1865 to Thomas Robbins in Maryville, Blount Co. TN. Family moved near Shepherdsville and Louisville, KY. David and Robert with Thomas Robbins family in 1870 in Nelson Co. KY. Neither son with family in KY in 1880. David is in Ellis County Texas by 1880. Would like to know what happened to Robert B.
