I am desperately seeking information on James George Cater, Jr., who came to America from Scotland with his parents in the early 1900's. He married Veiva Carolyn Triplett in 1925. He had a son, James Robertson Cater on December 16, 1931 in Washinton, D.C. Cater and Triplett were divorced several years later. James George Cater, Jr. was working in New York in the late 30's, reportedly as an accountant.
My father is the former James Robertson Cater, who was later adopted by a stepfather. He does not know what became of his father, or if he has any living relatives or siblings. He is also interested in knowing his birth family's geneology.
If anyone can help me with the geneology of James George Cater, Jr., or if there are living relations, please contact me. My dad just turned 70 years old and is anxious to know more about his roots.
