Did Robert Cate arrive in VA aboard the "Bengal/Merchant" in 1689?

I have seen postings on this forum and on the web regarding the importation of Robert Cate aboard the "Bengal"/"Bengal Merchant" in 1689 in VA maybe in Surry Co., VA.

I have not found any documentation for this importation but I have found several questions asking for the documention but no definite answers. I have found that there was a "Bengal Merchant" ship but it did not sail in 1689. If the manifest is available that shows Robert Cate as a passenger, it should also show dates and port of demarkation plus arrival date and location in the colonies, which hasn't been mentioned anywhere that I can find.

Would anyone out there have the backup for these claims and the additional departure/arrival information?

Thanks,

Walter Weeks
