Hi, my Grandfather (Fredrick Catchpole) was a warden at the Seamans mission in Poplar about 1900 - 1920 also my father (George) who lived in poplar married a Winifred King (some sort of link there) also from the East End - her family lost a number of males in the First World War (unfortunately the names of them are unknown). One further piece of information my Grandma (Mini) had a maiden name of Mudd! I don't know if this helps but would welcome any response!
Ian George Catchpole (Now living in Gloucester).
