My maiden name was Barbara Spears and while tracing my father's ancestors I found on the 1850 census in Tn a listing for Willis Spears born in N. Carolina and his wife's name was Sarah. The children listed were the same as the group sheet you or your cousin recorded in the Pedigree Resource File except 3 of the 8 children were not yet born.
The record looked very complete and I suspect this is the same family line I am researching. Will you please tell me your source for this information? I would appreciate your help very much and would also like any other information you or your cousin have on this line. It's exciting to find so many people doing this work and is especially so when it's from my own family. My father's name was William Lee Spears and I traced back to Willis but there it gets a little foggy since so much of what I'm finding gives different dates. I just started working at the Family History Center in Dallas on Wednesday morning, so I do have their resources, but feel a bit stumped now. Could you possibly put me in touch with your cousin?
