Can anyone tell me how, if at all, the De Castro lineage is related to the Castros? Does the "De" add anything or mean anything? Or, are the Castros simply completely different from the De Castros? Were they once related? Please help me! The De Castro lineage that I have is as follows: From: Don Jacques De Castro, to Francis Joseph De Castro, to Francis Joseph De Castro, to Jean Baptiste De Castro, to Jean De Castro, to Charles De Castro, to Mary De Castro... Mary De Castro is my great, great, great grandmother. Also, I do not completely trust this information since the document on which this information is written is very difficult to read and understand as it is an old translation of a book entitled: 'The Ancient Registry of the Land of Waes and their Titulars'. It states the research was done by Emmanuel Van Der Vinckt, marked and analyzed by the knight of Schont, Leete De Carvarent. Please help solve the Castro - De Castro mystery for me! I find all sorts of Castro information, but this translated book is the only thing I have on the De Castros. In fact, I only have two photocopied pages of it! Notify Administrator about this message?
