i hope you are still looking for a response 21/2 years later. My father was born in 1895 in either in Betanzos oe some aldea in the area. His name was Salvador Rey Castro. He emmigrated to the US sometime in the early 1920s I think after working on merchant ships most of his early life. In this country he was known and his naturalization papers listed him as Salvador R Castro. I believe that his fathers last name was Rey and his mothers last name was Castro but I have no real proof of that either. I would love to hear any info you have about Castros in or near Betanzos.
