Sorry it took me so long to follow up on your reply. Rafael Castro's youngest daughter, Augustia married Joseph Arano. He built the Bayview Hotel in Aptos and started the first post office there. Joseph and Augustia were my great grandparents. Their son Joseph married Amy Purdy, and their son George was my father. I have both of Beverly Waid's books, and there is a great deal of information contained in them. The second book was edited to add additional information about 2 years before she died.
