Hi Garry
My Great Grandfather was Frederick Cornelius Castro, b 1850 Middlesex, London, married Susan Susannah Hogg at St Andrews, Holburn Viaduct, LON abt 1856. It seems he had brothers according to the 1881 Census living in Lon. Fred was a Jeweller and Heraldic Engraver, others were watch makers and'or gilders. I think Freds family may have originated in Amsterdam as his middle name is very Dutch sounding. The family story is that they came to England in the 10th Century from Spain. I don't have his birth details yet but will hopefully get to it in the next week or so.
Regards
Jocelyn
