Castro's of Santa Cruz and Monterey, CA

I'm just beginning my search for other family members. I have an audio tape that goes back seven generations. I'm trying to find family members and history of the castro's. Josie Ventura Castro (1880), Timateo & Estella Castro (1850, 1851), and Luis Castro my great, great great grandfather. I have seen many references in history books to other castros from the Villa de Brancieforte but none mention these castros. Can anyone help?
